AE92 Filling Motor mounts pros & cons

ive been reading of a few people doing this, & since there is no aftermarket source for ae92 mounts i figured i might try this out..

i just bought all new mounts & they could be alot stiffer but is this really a good idea ?

Sure my motor wont rock as much but what else do i gain ? i am not having anymore issues since i purchased new mounts, but i drove the car without a hood & noticed there is still alot of engine rock on a hard launch... Again the only issues ive had is breaking flex pipes & this was cured to moving the flex pipe further downstream & the new mounts help..

My main worry is the chassis will be taking more of the abuse rather than the mounts soaking up the shock.. also ive read about noise issues inside the car...

So is it really worth it ? discuss !

Stiffer motor mounts would help reduce wheelhops in launching. The cons would be more engine vibration that would be transfered to the cabin. It may or may not be that noticible but it will nonetheless cause more vibrations.

you also get better engine response, because it spends less time wiggling around.

if you don't mind a little vibration, I'd say go for it.

I did it in my celica and ended up putting new oem mounts back it. it was a total pain in the ass as a daily driver. The vibrations coming through the steering column was what drove me nuts.
