Just Bought an 85 Corolla need help!

Hey all,

I recently purchased a 1985 toyota corolla coupe(AE86 4A-C engine). I need to know 2 things. What the engine oil capacity is and also, it turns on fine and runs great but at stand still through the tail pipe you can hear it is sputtering a bit. What can be the cause of this?

I have a 4A-F and the oil capacity is like a little over 3 qts or something. put 3 qts in and check your dip stick and see if it needs more, then add another (or part of another) if necessary.
