USA 1.2 3K engine

I need to find a buildable 1.2 3K block. I have all new parts with 20 over pistons but my block turned out to un-usable...(crack through first 3 cylinders)...help me get another 40 years out of this ol' 69 rolla. I live in North Little Rock, Arkansas

try looking for stageIII at www.kp61.net his name's Perry. he might have what you need if not he prolly know someone.

can i ask why you'd wanna stick with a 3K instead of a more popular 4K. you'll be able to find parts a lil not a lot easier.

I tried and the site seems to be having problems....I'm trying to stay as close to original as I can plus I already have all the new parts for the 1.2. I have the 1.1 block and tried to see if the 1.2 guts would fit. It turns out that although they look identical side by side....the 1.2 block is about 1/16th in. taller than the 1.1. That is how they got the extra couple of cc's and the teensy bit longer stroke on the crank.

the site's been down since last week. i just e-mailed the owner and he said they're trying to fix it now. i'm one of the mods there, i'll see if i can my buddies in Cali and ask them to call stageIII.

so since you're trying to restore your car to original, i'm almost positive you own my absolute fav corolla... KE15? when the cash flow is easier, i'll be hunting down a 1969 Corolla i've always love that car.

*edit, just re-read your 1st post you do own my fav corolla, any photos?

It's actually a KE10 micro...full vin number is KE10-313802...there was an early and late 69...this one is early(built before March69). It came with the 1.1K-C, 12in wheels. I have replaced the front drums with '72 disc, used the 13in wheels, added traction bars and modified a 4-1 header to two 2-1 for true dual exhaust ( I see alot of little cars with split pipes but I wanted to try real duals...works great, with a slightly odd sound...you only hear two cylinders unless you stand directly behind or in front.) I got a ticket in 1995 for 131mph in a 55mph zone...i think they probably meant 113mph...I dont think 13in wheels would add that much to the top end. Of course I also made a 101 mile trip one morning in around 45 minutes...don't really know the top speed...speedo stops at 100mph. I have some photos on cargurus.com. (Look for CorollaNut)

I am not sure...some things I have learned over the years...the later model trannies have a different number of splines where the clutch plate goes(you can use the same pressure plate and throwout bearing but need a later model clutch disc), the starter mounts on the opposite side, the shifter hole will have to be moved back in the floorboard, the driveshaft is a different length.
