USA Motor Swap Question

Hey everyone i just got a new corolla, its an 84 sedan FWD. Im planning a motor swap becuase i love the car, its slower than hell tho haha. i was thinking maybe a honda swap....B16, B18 or H22 all motor. just to make some power and truck around without the sound of the awful 4A-C. it makes this whiney noise its annoying. But yeah i have about 2500 for the whole swap. Has anyone seen this or have one in their car, i know id have to fab up motor mounts and stuff. how hard would it be tho?

why wouldn't you just stick with toyota engines? doing a honda swap basically everything would have to be custom fab, and wiring would be a bitch. 2500 isn't really the right budget for that, look into the A series toyota engines...no custom fab, bolts right in. I have the same car, and i'm in the middle of a 4age silvertop 20V swap, one thing you have to remember is you'll have to redo your fuel system because your running a carby system (youll need efi tanks, pump, lines) and you'll have to deal with the wiring (need to make a efi relay, etc.), but all in all it'll be more reliable, cheaper, and you'll get results like a honda swap. you can get a jdm 16V +tranny for around 500-600 from what i've seen, 20V's from 800-1200 (depending on gen. and options), or you can go boosted with a supercharged 16V (4agze)...
