front end groan squeal noise
I have a '94 Corolla ~71k miles.
Recently I've been hearing a groan/grind/squeal noise as I come to a stop, and also as I drive off, up to ~25 mph. No noise above 25mph. Noise seems to come from front right brake area.
Brakes all around are good, rotor good, anti-squeal gel applied, noise doesn't change with application of brakes. Only seems to happen after driving the car a bit (about 10+ minutes). Turning left or right doesn't seem to change noise.
But get this.. when the car is warmed up and making the noise moving forward, I put the car in reverse and there's no noise, only going forward.
No clicking noise so.. CV joints ok? maybe wheel bearings? Am at a loss. Anyone have trouble similar to this?
Also, was told drive axle is slightly bent, which is probably reason car vibrates a little on acceleration from ~50-60mph. This could cause wear on other parts no?
Thanks for any help.
