What's a good start?

Yeah, umm I have a 2004 Rolla S with the only automotive addon being a K&N Typhoon Cold Air Intake? I plan on "fixing" it up though. What would be a good start?

If its a manual you just got to have a shortshifter so you dont grind the 2nd and 3rd gears... if not just get a Magnaflow catback to go with the CAI you have already, for $350 ask me how to get it at that price... and get better rubber... if you could buy tC 17" rims in "prestine condition" for 200-300 bucks for the rims and get goob rubber at tire rack for like 49-200 bucks each, (get the one for $65) and also get performance brake pads for $69 or springs for $110 you decide... you should get a 6.8 to 7.2 seconds 0-60 time EASY (all for the price of a PS3 with a few games.)

heres how the tC rims look.

A good start would be actually telling us more information. There are tons of categories to choose from, you have your suspension, interior, exterior, engine. Would you want to hear blind mods being posted for you to see or would you like the people here to help you find what you want? Also include a budget otherwise I'm going with twincharging your car.

Not true on the shortshifter. Most people actually grind more on the shoftshifter because they are use to the stock length shifter and tend to switch gears early. If grinding occurs, then the gears in the synchros will need to be replaced. A temp fix would be changing fluids but it will come back.

The tims you gave might apply to an XRS but he has an 04 Corolla S (1zz) and the drivetrain was inspecified and varies by a sec. To achieve those times on a 1zz you might need more then a few PS3+games.

c'mon the stock Corolla CE stick get 7.8 seconds 0-60... its not impossible to cut the 0-60 times a bit with much better rubber, quickshifter, CAI, and catback exhaust... or is it?
