2 door, coupe or initial d hatch back style, not to be confuse with 2 dr hatch FX, emblems, that's probably how i would determine it. Otherwise, engine, interior, RWD or FWD. Hmmmm...what else am i missing.

Not sure why not that wikipedia description is about the best you'll get.

Check the dates of the model years.

All the two and three door corollas in the us of those model years are of the AE-86 chassis.

Some have 4ag motors some are 4af

some are hatches some are sedans

some are stock, some are sr-5's and some are gts'

take your pick

Just don't confuse 'hatchback' with the Japanese numbering Hachi (8) Roku (6)

Hatchback or sedan .. both are AE-86

Mad as in upset, not at all.

You will learn a LOT by starting with the stickies at the tops of the forums. They are stickied for a reason, this isn't the first time the question has come up.

Mad as in crazy?

maybe a little

Surf for a week, see how often this one shows ...

"Can I swap a gze motor into my ae-86 how much more horsepower will I have?"

Here's how you do it. if the cars are stock.
Quick way to narrow out the sedan and other models are the fact they are fwd. Transverse mouted motor.

gts vs sr5...

gts.. painted bumpers, drivers seat has adjustable side supports (air bags in seat). Tach goes to 7200 (I think, I can't remember somewhere in the 7000 range).. gts only came with 5 speed tranny... Rear disc brakes
Pop the hood, and you should see a twin cam 4age

Sr5, has different interior, less fancy, unpainted bumpers, can be auto or have a 5 speed, tach goes lower, and when you open the hood it will have a sohc (single over head cam) carburated 4ac motor. It will also have rear drum brakes rather than the disc.

This is saying the cars are all stock, which usually they aren't anymore...

AE86 is REAR WHEEL DRIVE, so if it's not RWD is not an AE86.
