Question Vehicle shakes!

My car, Toyota Corolla LE 2001, shakes while running. It shakes too much in the speed range between 60 and 72 miles per hour. Can anybody give me tips on it?

Have you checked your tires to see if they are balanced? Start with the easy stuff before you get into the suspension.

can you give more info on when it shakes? at idle, in gear, at what speeds,? at what speeds does it not shake? I don't see how anyone can go on such little info..

when was the last work done on it, and if so, what was done?

My started shaking immediately after I had the two front tires replaced with brand new ones. Probably the alignment was adjusted too. It does not shake too much at idle, low speed. And it is running quite smoothly over 72 mph. It shakes too much between 60~72 mph.

maybe you need wheel balancing or alignment.

Exclamation

I have heard lots of stories about some tires that have given some car owners fits with shaking like you describe. I realize that tire shops wil not help you unless they see a nail in the tire or a defect while the car is sitting on a car lift rack. They will need to drive the car to feel it. So, you will have to convince them to drive it at those speeds. Otherwise you wil end up buying a new set to replace that set. I hope the tire shop does not screw you.

good luck..

Is it possible that the tire place did not put on the counterweight for the wheel?
