Corolla 99 Question about AIR INTAKE

Hi, new to the forum!
I've been reading all kind of threads about intakes and the MAF. I just bought this on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.ca/98-99-00-TOYOTA-C...QQcmdZViewItem
I know there is better quality but i just wanna find out how it sounds...if it sounds nice, i might buy something better...anyway, off topic!
I want to know if the chances of busting my MAF are high while installing an air intake? and if so, what is it that people do wrong when installing an air intake!
I called my toyota dealer and they told me nothing was supposed to go wrong if i plug the MAF sensor in the tubing on my intake...
any tips or advice on what to do ?

Thanks

p.s : if my MAF does indeed decide to die, how much is it for a new one? Do i only have to buy the sensor or the whole system? )

It's going to be pretty difficult to damage your MAF since your car doesn't have one. The 98-99 Corollas still used a MAP sensor. The 2000 was the first year for the MAF. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
