mirror replacement

Ok, A motorcycle took off my left side mirror. I bought a replacement, so I'm ready. My question is , How does the insidecover come loose? I'm refering to the inside cover that allows acess to the mounting screws. Usually , things break when you don't know how it comes apart. Any help out there? Oh, almost forgot it's a 2006 ce Thanks Tim

the inside cover just pops off. It's held on by clips. To change the mirror though, you'll need to remove the door panel also, which is a 5 minute job.
with door open looking at interior of door....
1st. there are 2 pieces, 1 has the power windows locks, the other is to the left of that and has the handle for pulling the door shut. Pop off the piece with the handle (only held on by clips) 2nd. pop off the piece with the power buttons (only held on by clips) 3rd. undo the two wire harnesses (plugged in by clips) they are attached to the power buttons. now you will see two screws going into your door. 4th. get a razor blade and inside your interior door handle you'll see a small square. slide the razor in on the left side and pop that square open. That is the 3rd screw. 5th. Take all 3 screws out. 6th. Starting from the bottom pry the panel off....i think there are 4-6 clips but then the panel will be loose. slide it up because it hooks over the top and you're done.
