Head Swap 88 to 92?

I have a 92 4afe that has a blown head gasket. I need to know if the cylinder heads from a carbureted 88 or 89 will fit? I have access to both and I would like to send one out to a machine shop for a rebuild while I use the 92. Is there going to be a problem with the the fuel injection on the carbureted head? What other problems would I have to watch out for?

Check to see where your injectors are located. If they're mounted on the head, then it's definitely a no-go. If they're on the manifold, you might be able to do it, but it'd depend on the ports. No way to get the head/mani off of a 93+?

Thanks 4AaronGe! The injector ports are located on the cylinder head and the carburated version does not have these 4 ports. I guess I have to pull the bad head and have it rebuilt.

a AE92 head wont fit the AE100 series.. well it will, but whats the point when you'd have to change other things aswell to the point you can get a new head with the sum.
