difficulty putting in 91 4age?

Hey guys,

Just wondering how difficult it is to install a '91 4age motor into my 86 corolla gts.

Are there any other parts needed for the install, like the ecu, that I need to get or can I just swap in the motor?

Any help would be appreciated.

u need to mutilate the intake manifold because the tb is on the wrong side.
u also need the ecu

what is commonly done is bluetop head on the redtop block....and just retain the stock ecu but run the redtop injectors(they're larger)...

u'll have tvis, high compression and redtop injectors...cant go wrong there :p

if you use bluetop pistons, use the bluetop injectors, if redtop pistons, use redtop injectors.....dun want to run it too rich to burn your cat:o

Well howbout running lean and burning holes in your pistons not exactly fun either. Just get a rally cat, those are really less restrictive.

supposedly you can use the bluetop ecu to run a red top, with some tweaking.. that's what one of those slide squad guys was doing a year or two ago (mark or dave.. can't remember)

but that's all just 'internet knowledge'
