AE92 i have a new aftermarket tach and...

its not really hooked up yet...i installed it, and hooked in the green wire to the ignition, but the red and black power wires to it are too short to reach the battery from inside the car. should i just get extensions on the wires, and try to hook them to the battery? or figure out how to hook them to something inside the dash...? if im going to hook them to something inside the dash, what will i hook them to? (id prefer not to hafta cut/tap into a wire if i can help it...)

PS, i also still need to hook up the white wire too, and i dont know where to hook that either..plz help asap?

What year is your car?

On my 93 I ran my red wire to hotwire, (+) side of battery, black to chassis ground (-), White to my headlight fuse, and green wire to my diasnostic box.

so, wait, u can just sorta jam the hookup INTO the same place where the fuse is? as in, where the kickpanel is??

and i cant get the red wire to reach far enough for me to get it into the +side of the battery...its too short

the car is an 89 DX sedan...

best bet is to get a wiring diagram of the instrument cluster all the connections you need are right there in the existing cluster harness, power, ground, illumination, tach signal, I dont have a diagram for a AE92 if i did id look up the colours
