1.6fe to 1.8fe

ok my friend blew his 4afe in has 91 celica...he bought a good 1.8 (7afe block) now he wants to know will a 4afe head fit a 7afe block...also i went and looked at the hp and torque ratings and a 7afe is ratted at 115 hp and 108 ft-t and a 4afe was rated at 105hp and 115ft-t....if this is correct would there be more torque and up to 5 more hp.....reason he was going to do this cause i told him i have my old 4afe head and i got it checked and its still good...just needs cams...or he would just regrind the old ones

They've got the same head. Unless one is damaged, it might be cheaper just to swap the entire engine.

I think all you need is the block and lowerend parts.

Nope, its still running with helical gears, which isnt a bad thing when you realize the good parts about it
