AE92 Sad but good goodbye

Hey all, I used to own an awesome 92 corolla with a scant 692xx miles on it, i was on i-95 and a semi side swiped me and spun me into the guard rail going about 45 after all of the screeching. My corolla held up AWESOME! i have taken that thing apart and i know what its really made of, and i really didnt give it the credit it deserved. the engine was still idling great after we stopped. I'm really gonna miss my corolla, it was my first car and i had it for 4 1/2 years, they truly are great cars and i wouldnt have changed a thing about it. Thankfully so i am only moving to the avalon forum because i picked up my moms 98 avalon which i am very happy with. it was great posting with all of you, and thank all of you very much for your advice and help in the past.

No need to leave dude, you're still in the Toyota community and you can always pop by and visit.

With that said.. it's part out time!

it defineatly had a wonderfully scant 69,228 miles to be exact. and i dont exactly know where the car is now, and i reallly wish i did, if anyone is looking for my engine and tranny best of luck finding it, it was all body and maybe some frame damage and i would LOVE for someone if they could find it to use it and not let it rust and go to waste. last i know it was in lake park florida, about 15 miles north of west palm beach. i dont know the vin of the car, but its white with blue interior, engine has miles stated, has tint on it, the interior gear shift is misisng the lettering. if anyone find it and grabs the engine its in 100% condition, i took great care of it and it shouldnt need a single thing, i kept up with repairs all the time. if someone gets or finds it, shoot me a message or something and i will tell you everything i can about it. its got everything but drivers side body panels.

so far i'm enjoying the new avy, but it certainly is no AE92 ...

Thanks, and no worries i'm sticking around, at least in the avy forum, but the corolla forum is much more interesting and has some great guys on here

definitely very low miles for a '92. what a shame. glad to hear you walked away from it. getting slammed by a semi sounds pretty hairy. A couple of years ago I drove by an accident that had just happened and in one of the cars involved a woman was slumped motionless over the steering wheel. The door was open and people were just standing there and staring at her. That image has kind of stayed with me. It hasn't made me a better driver, though.

its something thats hard to describe. you cant fully explain what its like to stare at the grill of a semi with screatching tires in the background going 70mph, or going backwards in the fast lane watching cars speeding towards you. its practicialy a miracle that we didnt flip or hit oncoming traffic, and that the guard rail started 500ft before we hit it, i'm so lucky that i didnt die, let alone walked away. hell i had my 2 gold fish in the car with me and i didnt spill a drop, lol.
