AE92 No Spark

OK, got a ae92 that has no spark. Situation is the car turns over but wont start. So i checked for fuel, got it, next was spark, got none. Also checked if i would get spark from the coil to eliminate the distributor as the cause, but got none from the coil.

Checked the igniter, thats good.
Checked the Voltage to the Coil, thats good.
Checked Distributor, thats good.

I see it as the ECU being the only option, but some other suggestions would be appreicated. Also would a 89 n/a ecu work on the ae92? Because i tried that ecu on the ae92 and that didnt work either. Thank you in advance.

Check the MAP sensor vacuum line for cracks, especially if it has that spyral wrap on it. No vacuum = no spark.

There are resistance checks (using an ohmeter) you can perform on the coil to verify if it is faulty. Just having 12 volts going to it doesn't rule it out. Check out a manual from your library for the specs and procedure to check it. I had a Celica with no spark and it turned out to be the coil. Don't forget to check the distributor cap/wires and rotor too.

Another thought is the timing belt. Did you remove the distibutor cap and have someone crank car while watching to see if distributor rotor moves? If it doesn't it is the timing belt.
