corolla tachometer problems need help asap

i just got a 95 corolla speedometer w/ the tach and i put it on my 93 corolla and the tach didnt work....what can i do to make it work.....everything other than the tach works perfectly fine.....do i need any cables or sumthing....?????

yes im pretty sure there is a cable you need that plugs in the back of it.

yeah there is wires in the back for a tach, funny how the 93's had the wiring but no tach

i had the same problem, i just put in a cluster w/tach in my 96 that didn't have one and the tach doesnt work but everything else does. I don't see any other wires for the tach, just the three plugs. ANything more specific or pics?
