Gen6 ok SERIOUSLY need HELLPP! sputtering/stalling..

i have an 89 corolla DX w/a 4AF engine...lately, its been acting VERY strange...2days ago, it didnt idle normally after hard driving..then, i parked at school, and then came out and the car didnt even start at first. It finally did, and then it stalllled out SO many times.... Then, i got it to a safe place, and called my mechanic. he told me to change the sparkplugs. So i did. The car ran BEAUTIFULLY, but only for ~a day. Then, today, i went and got a performance exhaust installed, and now the car sputters and stalls, and doesnt idle right, but only when the car is in drive or reverse..If the car is in park or neutral, it idles just fine.
And, if i let it idle in neutral/park for ~30 - 45 seconds, the car will begin sputtering, and then it'll choke itself out with gas. If i REV it before it chokes itself out, then it'll idle normally after..

another thing is, whenever i push the gas down and the car is idling in park/neutral, it'll either sputter/stall, or if i give it fullthrottle, it will BACKFIRE and put out a huge black cloud out the exhaust. I just cleaned the carb and choke out too, it idles a little bit better since, (it doesnt DIE anymore..but still idles reeallly low)

Also, i cannot give the car fulthrottle until ~15 or 20MPH. after that, i can Flooor the car, and it'll go just like normal.

HEEELP PLEASEEEE??

Have you changed the fuel filter? Seems very much like a fuel problem, although with it backfiring, it may be something different. Have you checked your fuel pump?

hehe. i also kinda neeed to try to get this fixxed by the end of TODAY too....

WOOOHOO!!

got it fixxed, i just needed to re-tune the throttle ''holder'' screw?? it sorta holds the throttle's position when theres no pressure on the gaspedal. idle screw??

i noticed, since its been tuned that when i slightly rev the car, it stays at the higher RPMS for a coupla seconds longer, then it returns to the SLIGHTLY higher idle..
