Unhappy Front Left U-Joint?

2001 Chevy Prizm/2001 Toyota Corolla

the front left driveshaft is leaking some grease

my dad said it looks like the u-joint is going and needs to be replaced.

will the car need the whole front-left shaft replaced, or can they just do the U-joint?

and does anyone know about how much this will cost?

i need this done soon cuz it isn't too great driving it around like that

don't mind him. online forums are commonly filled with trash talking teens who think they're the shit.
just call up your local auto shop and ask them how much they'd charge on labor to replace your cv joint. it's not a difficult process, so it shouldn't be too much.
