Cool Fixing up a 98 Corolla!

Ok so this is my first post, hopefuly someone can help me out...

For about the past 2 years ive ben driving a 98 corolla and its ben pretty good to me aside from a few small mechanical issues and some serious visual problems. All in all ive become quite fond of my little beater and have decided to fix it up even though its going to take quite a bit of money considering its condition.

The majority of the work will be body work considering the previous owner used this vehicle as a farm vehicle, and he just happened to own lots of goats which as you know like to play king of the hill and don't exactly care what the hill might be. Also the interior of the vehicle is in prety bad shape, im not sure if its just me or if anyone else has noticed the poor yet ruggid quality of these cars.

On the Mechanical side the vehicle burns quite a bit of oil, or at least it seams, mabey its not bad considering that it has 175k miles. but it does burn about 4 quarts of oil between oil changes. The power steering has a slow leak, and the suspension is prety much shot(it prety much drives like an oldsmobile with blown shocks).

Anyway to the point, ive ben shopping around looking at different options and ive had some trouble finding everything i need or at a good price at least. Ill try to group what im looking for.

Engine/Trans= I don't exactly want to keep the 3 speed that is in there so i was either thinking of doing a 5speed swap, but i think id rather Swap in a 2zz-ge from a celica since its deffinently got some power and would make for a fun ride. Although id be looking at around 3-4k in parts if i did it myself, Anyone possibly know of a JDM importer that has 2zz-ge's at a good price or mabey even a whole front clip, or any idea on what my cheapest option might be?

Body= Well i need a rear left quarter pannel both front fenders, and mabey an idea on how to fix the roof since like i said before its ben violated by inconsiderate goats! I think the hardest part/s ive ben trying to find is the weather stripping/trip, the little plastic and metal strips that go around the doors, also the interior molding stuff... whatever u call it..
And finaly some place that sells interior fabric such as head liner, carpet, and anything for the seats(not just seat covers, actual replacement fabric)

Suspension= I know where to get shocks/struts and springs, but i can't seam to find anywhere that sells stuff like the bushings and control arms and such.

I hope that these questions haven't already ben answered as my searching came up short.
Thanks for reading and Ty for any help u can give.

PS would anyone happen to know anything about this body kit http://www.andysautosport.com/toyota...b00074661.html
I think i remember reading somewhere that in adition to the body hit that the vehicle there also has some sort of front end conversion... i belive one of the japanese eqivilents of the corolla, but with different headlights and grill. i think it was called an L something.

Sounds like alot of work to be done.. good luck!

maybe you can try junkyard. See if you can find anything salvageable.. you can probably find your fenders, interior parts and those metal and plastic thingies that go around the door..

Or you can check out ebay. Search for 98 Corolla Fenders.. Control Arm.. they have them on there.. i think its $55-60 per a fender.. and $70 ish for a control arm..

Hope this helps..

Well most of the weather stripping and molding id probly want to get brand new since anything in a junk yard might also be faded and cracked like mine is.

And yeah thanks i found the fenders on ebay... prety good price.. yet they dont have quarter panels... only found one place that had them... cant remember where but they wanted like 700 bucks for a quarter panel.

I guess its just gonna take some looking around to find all this stuff...
