Torx Size for Auto Tranny Drain Plug

Newbie here... my kid just picked up a '97 Geo Prizm 1.6L, 3 spd auto. I'll assume that this is that same as a Corolla... I want to change the tranny & diff filter & fluid. It has 134k miles and maybe never changed. I know that some times it's better to leave it alone but I think fresh fluid is the way to go... anyway what size are the 3 torx plugs? They look like T-70's, of course I have up to T-50...don't want to buy what i don't need...

hmm not sure about the bolts but with that many miles it might be best just to leave it alone if it has never ben changed because more than once ive changed the fluid and filter on a high mileage transmission for the first time and i always ended up having trouble afterwards, if u do think its really nessessary to change id recomend taking it to a mechanic or the dealership and getting a flush and fill just to make sure u get any and all debri out of the transmission and trust me theres alot there, first change on a high mileage transmission i see a little bit of gunk then second change theres almost 2x as much in the fluid...

just my opinion... i drive a 98 3-speed with around 175k miles and its never had the fluid changed.

Definately have it changed, you dont know what crap is in there, but you might have to take the bottom pan out to get to the filter so might aswell take it to a place where they have a lift.

Thats not gonna be a very long lifed transmission.

For an automatic i think its lasted plenty long, i think the wheels will fall off before the transmission goes. I plan on doing some sort of swap soon anyway since i think the engine has just about had it, its burning more and more oil as the days go by.

I think it would be a good idea to change it. Be sure to drop the transmission pan to clean the crud off the magnets inside that collect metal particles. Might want to change the filter while your at it. Will also need a new pan gasket. The differential on my 90 3speed auto (assume your's is the same) has a separate fill and drain plug. The refill is tricky as it is close to frame area. You need a long narrow length of hose with a small funnel to fill it. For parts since it's a Geo you can hit your local Chevy or toyota dealer but I have found the Toy parts are less expensive in most cases.

Thanks for all the replies...but the question was what is the torx size of the 3 plugs...I'm guessing it's a T-70.
