The Super Corolla

I was thinking: what if we combined all the latest and greatest technologies into the world's most famous, dependable, economical and perfect car: The Corolla.

First: Why the Corolla: Theres no other car like it in its segment or any other segment for that matter. Honestly, sitting in my 1996 Corolla DX feels better than anything else in the world. Yes, it may not be as comfortable as a Lexus LS430, or as powerful as BMW M5, but you know what? It still feels great. Anyway, time for the Ultimate Wishlist:

1.) 2.0L 4 cylinder engine with electronically controlled valves (solenoid for each valve, no mechanical parts (camshafts, timing belts, etc.)

2.) Constant Exhaust Gas Recirculation--a major portion of the exhaust gas will be recirculated into the air intake to reycle and burn completely.

3.) Every lamp and light should be LED: From headlamps, to interior lights to instrument cluster lights to warning lamps.

4.) Entirely real Continuously Variable Transmission with infinite amount of gear ratios.

5.) Light weight magnesium alloy used for the engine and all other drivetrain parts.

6.) Aluminum and light weight composites used for body panels such as roof, hood, trunk, etc.

7.) HEPA filtration for cabin interior

8.) Windshield washer mist system that wets the glass perfectly for a cleaner, smoother, more efficient wipe.

9.) "Transitions" windows and mirrors. Dimmed in the morning, visible at night. Also with anti fog feature.

10.) Fully independent active suspension (the linear suspension from BOSE they demonstrated a while back, its beautiful)

11.) Absolutely no VOC's inside the cabin--in that way, no carcinogenic compounds as well as no "gassing" up of the interior on a hot day.

12.) Active tire inflation system that keeps it withing 1PSI. Even when driving under any condition.

Yeah, i'm just dreaming about the world's perfect car--add any ideas that you may have too!

Fuel efficient and cost efficient. Oh wait, they've already done that. What was I thinking asking for too much on an ~15k economical car?
