need some advice

I just bought my corolla s a few weeks ago and i noticed that the hood of the car has like water marks. So i washed and polished the car and it still hasnt come out. I know it cant be hard water spots becuase its a brand new car is this a sign of a poor paint job or is it me doing the junk job on washing the car?? And it also seems to get chipped and scratch very easy

New car or not it's possible it could be hard water spots. I've noticed when my dads car is hit by hard water from the sprinklers going off next to my drive way. If i don't wash the car for a couple days after that and it dries up, it bonds to the surface of the car lol. But a good wax and polish should do the trick. Or if it is hard water get a piece of cloth and dab with some vinegar and try wiping it off. That works too, just hold your nose.
