Picked up a auto 2007 corolla S in Oct. '06. Got me 12,500 on the odom at the moment. Already got rid of that annoying seatbelt beep and put on some 20% tints and hoping to disable the stupid drl's soon as well.
Well I was hoping for some advice, been trying to look up some details as what to do next, and looks like I want to do an air intake mod next. Should I go with a short arm intake or just do a filter upgrade. How much of a difference/gains would I be seeing between the two?
If I were to go with the short arm, should I go the extra step and do the throttle body spacers and mass flow sensors? Or are those just sales gimmicks? This noob would like to hear from the experienced. =P
Also, it makes sense to me, that if i'm getting more air in, it would be nice to let more air out. So some advice for what to do with the exhaust would be appreciated.
I ran across the mention of hella horns on the forum, so I started to look up some info on hella horns, any opinions on those. I just feel the horn on the car now is just sad.
My goal is not to make this car a sleeper/racer, the more I read the more I know that it's almost an imposibility, unless you have the cash, which I do not. My goal is to have fun with my car. I love my car, and each little thing I do just makes me enjoy it more. So if a few minor mods can make me enjoy my ride tat much more. I'm all for it.
Any other ideas are welcome to, I would also like to eventually put in a slide out dvd/gps player where the radio is currently, saw it on someone else mod on a corolla, looked hella nice, and sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, just point me in the right direction.
I'd just keep it stock engine wise, I mean with intake exhaust headers, its pretty much a waste of cash for the power levels... invest in some suspension.

^^probably your best bet. Unless you can afford the s/c w/ 05+ adapter, I wouldn't waste time or money because you'll just get some fun noise from the intake. The hella horns are a nice upgrade though for cheap $$. ES motor mounts are also something you might want to consider which are small change.

s/c super charger? wats w/ 05? and wats EW motor mounts? Disappointed to hear that the short ram intake is no good. I read in a few places that ppl found them useful tho.

Yea s/c = supercharger.
Because 2005+ Corollas changed to the drive by wire instead of the throttle cables used in the 2003-2004 it would require an adapter plate to make the s/c meant for the throttle cabled s/c to work for the 05.
ES motor mounts help with traction.
Short ram helps with the engine breath better but the gains aren't noticible. If its your only mod then its not as helpful as opening the airways/exhaust.
does the exhaust header replace the stock exhaust manifold?
and do any of these mods void any warrentties? Cuz the car is only 7months young, I don't want any gvevances down the line. Any one with experience on this?

Mods themselves do not void the warranty unless something that needs repair/service is caused by those parts. If you are worry about voiding the warranty you shouldn't be modding. Chances are higher for voiding a warranty with aftermarket parts then with stock.
Well yea i'm worried. and of course mods would have a higher chance of voiding a warrently. But it can't be helped. It's like having a heavy foot, you jus got to have to hope tats theres no cop past the next bend. But I guess i should have asked how much more likely is it to void a warrenty. Liek if it's 100% guarantee than yea maybe i should pass, but it's it's like 10% then I'd still like to go for it.
Has any one had experience with warrenties being voided before? This is my first new car so I take this think too the dealship every 5k so far for maitnenace. Would I run into any issues ?

You're right, Since your flowing more air inside the engine its indeed supplemental to make them them a larger exit path. Upgrading to a larger diameter toyota exhaust system would give you some power plus the engine sound that seems to be music to my ears will be more melodious. vrooom.
Then again, since your head doesnt flow any more, you wont be getting more power either.
Seriously, would you really want to spend 200bucks for measly 2hp? I think its frigging expensive for the gains.
