hey i just bought an 86 and it has a knock when it revs over 3 grand one of the weird things about it is that it does not smoke or burn oil, it is really good on gas but the knock is kind of bad. to my understanding the engine is just about to go boom!!! so im thinking of getting it fixed or if any one can tell me what is a good starter swap id really apreciate it

Don't run it any at all. Pull it apart and save yourself real problems. You might be able to just put some new lower end bearings in. Get some plastigauge, pull off the bottom end, and get some numbers.... You might get off easy. Don't know if you do your own work or not. Even if you don't do the work and running engine in exhcange is worth far more than a blown engine if you buy a rebuilt with exchange. if you go that route.

thanks i really dont know much bout toyoda i had a b16 second gen integra it was pretty quik but i got tires of only going straight no i want to go sideways plus you know what they say"driftin gets you laid" lol
