Toyota lighting problems.

A friend of mine got a minor accident last week. Her Toyota Tail light lens broke. After she had some repairs and had the new tail lights. She's thinking of having it protected. A Toyota Tail Light Cover is good for it can protect the whole body but it really covers the light from being visible and may cause another accident if not seen. Another option was a Toyota Tail Light Guard, I don't know what's the difference but she told me it has some. She send me
some pictures and I think that the guard is more appropriate than the cover but it is more fashionable and can be an accessory to your car. When you will be the one to be asked, what's more suited for your vehicle? Hers was a Toyota Corolla 2006. Thanks.

Those covers are only for looks, the only thing the protect from is small rocks and things that can fly into your car while you're on the road. If she gets into an accident regardless of how minor it is, I doubt they will protect her lights.

Get some 3M clear vinyl to protect the lights from scratches etc if you want.

If you want to protect them by installing a metal cage around the tail light then I wouldn't say thats a good idea considering if it was to be hit it would cause more damamge then to just the lights.

Thumbs up Toyota lighting

As for me the Guard is much better for the Toyota Tail Lights of your friend because it gives the protection at the same time it does not cover the light.
