cataltytic converter

how much HP do you think i could get if i replaced my 150000mile stock converter with a high flow one...BTW its on a 1997 totota corolla with a 4afe. Thanks. i do have access to a welder and a car lift also.

yea..it seems a litle sluggish on the bottom end..but starts to scoot on the top end. i wish someone made a good turbo kit for the 4AFE..but i dont think its worth turnoing..once i have a 4age i will turbo it.

yea..ive seen his progress for his turbo and it looks great..but i mean like a good reputable company made one. or do you mean the not worth turboing??well if you feel like going through the process of making sure everything in that engine can handle a turbo then be my guest..but i would like a motor a little well suited to build one off of.

GE is worse for turbo duty compression wise. Otherwise the systems are about the same, so you'd still need to do the same stuff as you would for a 4A-F/FE...

As for a reputable company, I dont give a rats ass, I got my turbo from one, the rest is just the same who makes it.
