Well I got my car back on friday here is a list of things I found wrong with it.
1. Holes in the clear coat on the hood, passenger and drivers side fenders, roof and rear bumper.
2. Spoiler seal was cut down to a shread and rendered usless. It is also falling off right now. What is left of it any way. It was a mint rubber seal to damn it. They don't make those any more ether.
3. Break light in the hatcg is covered in sand.
4. Front windshield cover is not snug. This is because it was bent!
5. Black antenna cover is damaged and left unsealed to the car.
6. Paint is rough on the drivers side front bumper.
7. One side of the car has the wrong wheels/tires on each end. The 195/70 is supposed to be on the back while the 195/60 is supposed to be on the front.
8. Red paint shown on the moon roof and the seal is now lose in the back of it on the drivers side.
9. inside of doors, hatch and engine bay were not painted.
They were doing a great job until they got around to the paint. It was supposed to take 3 days to paint and prep but they did it in one. They were starting to make less and less money off my car because it was taking too long. So this happened caz they did a rush job at the end to move on to a different car.
They will have 2 options.
1. have all this **** fixed by the end of this week.
or
2. I sue them and make them pay for the car to get done some where else.
10. The bumper is still slightly dislocated. They claim they can not get the parts. I don't see why they could not take the ones I had that were good and machine some new ones.
I don't really mind # 10 cuz I can probably get these parts from a scrap yard cheaper then they can make them and install new ones.
It really pisses me off cuz they did such a great job with my friends Olds after it was involved in a collision. And he only spent $600 on everything. I paid $1,900 wich seems rather cheap but I was getting a deal through a dealership.
What also pisses me off is that I have to make an apointment to have the car looked at again. I don't get why I should have to wait when they damaged my car. I'll be giving them a phone call on monday to see wtf went wrong and how they plan to fix this.
I'll also take pictures of everything they messed up tomorrow.
how much was it for all those? if its like $400, you can't really complain cuz its you who wanted a cheap job now if its $2500+, than i say you get your money back
that's bs...they didnt do what they should have and u have all the rights in the world to take legal action...go demand a refund/compensation of some sort

Ouch...I've never heard anything but bad things about MAACO - everything from the quality of the employees' work, to the actual paint quality IE: dont be surprised if it looks horrible in two years time
Im sure its been said a million times but you get what you pay for, especially with cars. Its too bad you had a bad experience, but going to see the manager politely is the first step, if you dont get anywhere call the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint...it may lead to a resolution.
Take some pictures and note everything they did wrong when you go see them, if you have a list of 12 reasonable items they will listen!
IMHO you should never put pressure on a body job, good work takes time. My car spent over a month in the shop, I checked on it every couple of days, they did an OK job for the $2k that I paid.
I knew if I left the trim and stuff on it might get wrecked, that's why I pulled it all off before I dropped the car off. Every car is different, and no bodyman knows how all cars fit together, especially a rare old toyota.
I've never heard of any bodyshop that will paint under the hood unless the owner has the engine and all peripherals removed ahead of time.
In the GTA it is pretty much standard that they will not paint in the door jambs, you gotta make sure they put it in the quote... it is alot more work than many ppl realize to paint the jambs, and often the door seals can get wrecked or your interior can get oversprayed if they don't spend the time and effort to do it right, it's pretty much a full days worth of dissassembly, masking, prepping and painting just to do the jambs.
The sand in your brake light is from the sandblasting. That shit is messy and will probably never be fully cleaned up, nasty stuff, you'll find it hiding in nooks and crannies for years to come. But at least you know that they used it, it is the best method to eliminate rust.
On the bright side of things, the body has been preserved and should last you a while longer, you'll be able to replace those bits and pieces that were damaged over time, for the most part those parts can be had for a couple of bucks each. You might want to try UAP for some universal rubber for the spoiler, they have lot's of stuff from 3M and other companies.
The windshield trim is a bitch to re-install. The only way to properly install the trim is to remove the windshield and install all new clips from toyota, then sanp on the trim before the sealer has dried. 90% of shops will not pull the windshield, they will either attach the trim as best they can.. albeit a bit wobbly or use urethane and glue it down.. the latter is better believe it or not, cause through my experience without urethane it WILL come off, and probably on the 401 in rush hour traffic... you might not even know it came off for a few days ( I went through 3 pieces of upper windshield trim, trying not to use urethane).
