will the 4age out of an mr2 swap into an ae92 as easily as will the one from a gts? if not what would i have to do to get it to work? it looks like i would need the exhaust manifold, but will the engine bolt into the ae92 the same way? would i need the gts ecu, or will the mr2 ecu work, what would have to be replace (if anything)? i wanna know because there are no gts corollas in the salvage yards here, but the're are plenty of mk1 mr2s wth good engines. thanx in advance.

Fitment wise, the engine will drop right in. Same procedures as dropping an Early AE92 GTS motor. The MR2 ECU will work. Main difference is that MR2s use a single wire O2, and AE92 GTS all use 4wire O2s. So be sure to get a MR2 O2 sensor as well.
Don't take the MR2 tranny tho... they spin the opposite way
first off, i appreciate your help, so if there's a thread that answers any of this, pls point me to it and save yourself some typing lol.
VERY IMPORTANT! what would i expect to pay for the entire setup that i would need to do the swap? next, can anyone point me to the wring diagrams for the harness? would it be better to swap for the mr2 tranny, or would the stock one suffice? would the following list be all that i need to do the swap? please add to/take away from it if need be. thanx. also, how much would i expect to get for one? finally, does it have the exact same specs as the ae92 4age, in other words, would i be able to rely on the 4age section of the ae92 factory repair manual to help me in the swap? what known problems (if any) i would have to look for that wouldn't be obvious?
engine
ecu
intake manifold (w/ all attached parts)
exhaust manifold? would it work, or would i need one for a gts?)
what else?

the mr2 motor.... engine itself is identical..... manifolds to the ae92 are the same, reagardless of year.... on the mr2,s 88-89 they used a block off plate on the exhaust manifold for the o2 sensor and put it in later downstream.... a 4 wire o2 sensore.....
the wiring will be completely different.... the aw11 is 100% different as the wiring goes into the trunk into a molex connector then through the vehicle as the ae92 is slightly different.....
your easiest bet will be to get an aw11 engine and an ae92 gts harness..... or go stand alone....
as for the manifolds.... like i said.... the aw11 and ae92 gts use the same manifolds.... however the ae92 gts and the ae92 sr5/sedan use different piping so they WON'T BOLT TOGETHER.... you'll need to take the car to an exhaust shop (or do the work yourself) and have the piping between motor & exhaust fit together or go with a full custom setup....

i figured i'd probably have to redo the exhaust, asa far as wiring, where can i aquire the harness for a gts? like i said, there are none in any salvage yard for at least 200 miles (that i've seen so far at least) is the rewiring difficult? by stand alone, you mean ecu? wouldn't it solve the problem of wiring if i used the mr2 ecu, leaving the cluster wiring as the only thing that needs to be figured out? can someone who'se done a 4age swap (or is at least familiar with it) provide a list of everything that i will need to get to make the 4age work in an ae92 sedan? what do you mean by block-off plate for the o2 sensor? you mean they used the same manifold, just plugged the hole up and put the sensor later? would it matter whether i put the sensor in the manifold, or would i have to put it in the same (relatively) spot they put it?
