1zzfe head question

first post and already a question , well gonna start somewhere

i got a 99 corolla CE that i try to keep in shape, ive had my problem with oil consumption since i bought it (170 000KM). First out i find the oil ring of the chain tensionner. Now i see oil leaking from the head near the exhaust cylinder # 4 and 2. Also when im under mid to hard acceleration i hear like poffing noise, like it was comrpessing in the pan ??? Take 1 quart every 2500km

So since i can do the job myself to replace the head gasket (hoping that the head isnt warped). How much could i shave from the head if it warped ? and would it worth it to port/match it ???

It only smells oil on the highway, run fine, start great, blue smoke only from the tire, im a bit confuse about the engine and how long it could last.

I rebuilt my 1zzfe at 130k miles because of bad piston rings. While I had the head off, I sent it in for a valve job. The guy at the machine shop suggested to lightly mill any aluminum head - even if a warp isn't obvious. Not sure how much you can actually shave off the head.
