I understand I need to work out if my diff is a banjo or a salisbury, a salisbury has a tin piece on the back with bolts around it, is that correct? Please understand I really have no idea of what I am after and really need to be sure I get the right thing. Thanks

From what I see from the parts list and the repair manual from my 1983 wagon (for NA market). The differental it self will be the same (They will have either 2 pinion or 4 pinion (for 3tc engine or 4ac with manual transmission) ). But the housing will be different.
Btw off topic question is it still possible I can order oem parts from toyta dealer in australia? Since I'm looking for a tail light for my 1983 Corolla Wagon.
