87 Corolla FX16 Interior Light Knob

Any ideas on location the knob to the left of the steering wheel which controls the brightness of the dashboard? New owner, not sure of the correct terminology. Have seen it called a twilight sentinel knob. According to my local dealer the part is no longer available through Toyota. Thanks

Most parts arn't. I have 2 of the fx16's I now live at the local pick a part.

The knob is fairly universal. I pulled my current knob from a corolla sedan... but yes it's from a pick n pull

Pick and pull it is! Heading to one tomorrow. But thanks, I thought it might be somewhat universal, so I'll know to look at more than an FX if I can find one.

Thanks, guys. The pick and pull was the answer. I finally made it today after a couple of false starts. No FX16 models though. As I am learning, and you already know, they are relatively rare whether the FX16 or the FX16 GT-S.

I did find a 1987 Toyota Corolla FWD Owner's Manual -- an original -- along with a 1987 Toyota Owner's Guide! Interestingly they call the knob a "Intrument Panel Light Control" knob or dimmer knob. Who would have thunk it?
