taking off rear sway bar

i seem to strip every celica's rear sway link everytime i take off the sway bar...how does everyone take off their from their 98-02 corolla? is it the same with the 93-97 corollas too? do they have sway bars? im trying to install lowering springs to the back and it's just not cooperating with me. can someone explain or show me how it's done properly so i dont strip it from my 99 corolla le? is there a how-to somewhere? thanks!

the 7th gen bar is different than the celicas of the same years, endlinks im not sure about tho. and yes, the 7th gen sway bar is PUNY, but with the right tire pressures you can make the car more nuetral, to a point. i'd still like a stiffer bar, but its only a dream.

Are you using an allen wrench to hold the stud while you loosen the nut on the link?
If not, that is why the nut isn't comming loose.

IIRC, you might have to drop your gas tank to reach the area
