They arent stainless steel lines, they're teflon (PTFE) tubing with a stainless steel braid that aids in pressure retention. Its a bit misguiding.

If you get them, get goodridge etc and stay the fuck away from ebay lines.

On my 7th gen after installation of SS-braided lines there was a bit less pedal mush, but the main difference seems to be the amount of overall force delivered to the calipers. Before, you could feel the brakes (in good working order) just sort of trickle in a marginal amount of extra force for the last quarter or so of the pedal travel, and now anything more than a quarter in results in a much improved transfer of fluid pressure down to the calipers. This difference of course is magnified in effect with the slotted rotors and ceramic pads, but even with stock brakes you should feel a respectable difference once you try stopping more than leisurely.

i have techna-fit ss lines. i was very paranoid of installing these on my car because of the horror stories i've been reading. i've been very happy with these new brake lines. my brake pedal is firm and consistently firm throughout my long drives.

i hear you should stay away from goodrich ss lines, as well.
