replace 2001 struts?

How hard is it to replace the front struts on a 01 corolla myself. I searched for some articles online but couldnt come up with much.

Also what type do you recommend. I dont need anything fancy but would like a smooth ride.

Figured some of you here have some good knowledge on this.

Thanks

Every toyota front MacPherson setup I have ever worked on has been the same. The only difference you'll have is where the sway bar connects.

You'll need to rent a spring compressor.
Then there's...
Three nuts on the strut mount under the hood.
Two bolts at the knuckle
One nut at the sway bar
One bolt on the brake line
One nut at the end of the piston shaft.
