Hi - Me again. A couple of miscellaneous questions as I continue developing my knowledge base for my 1987 FX16 (AE82):
Does the normal setting on the Automatic Transmission Indicator Lights panel have a separate bulb? The on/off for the OD works. The power setting works. But when I have everything in normal, there is no light on the panel. I recently acquired a 1987 Corolla FX/FX16 Owner's Manual, so I'm pretty sure I've finally mastered getting the settings correct.
Cup holder - Does anyone who owns one of these beauties have a cup holder idea? Seems the little well at the back of the console in the middle could offer some possibilities. I have a 4-speed automatic transmission, so there is no space more forward. I've tried the window kinds and they don't seem to work for me.
There is NO clock in the clock section on the dash. Is is normal or an option at the time? I inherited an AM/FM CD player mod in the car that has the clock function, so it's not an issue. But the Owner's Manual seems to indicate all of these cars came with a clock. Just curious.
Thanks for any assistance. I know there aren't a lot of FX16 (not FX16 GT-S) owners any more, but I thought I'd take another shot.
