Raise (?) suspension

94 Corolla 1.6L, Just put new tires on and when I round corners, a hear rubbing. I am about ready to put new struts on all the way around. After 88000 miles will the new struts lift the car up a bit to stop the rubbing? I think it is rubbing the part of the rear strut that the spring sets in. I am putting in KYB GR2 struts.

What? I'm not following. You running on stock suspension and experience rubbing and want to raise it or do you already have aftermarket suspension? What are the tire size? Are they stock sizing? Be specific...

Sorry. Yes, stock suspension. Tires are 185/70/14. I replaced the tires with the same size tires but different brand ( I put on GY Assurance tripletreds) and I think that, even though the same size specification wise, they are slightly wider, maybe taller, not sure. I guess my question is, does the stock suspension settle and lower somewhat over time and will the installation of new struts raise the car a little (back to original height) and eliminate the rubbing?

Hm....I've checked and your stock tire sizing should be 185/65/14. Correct me if I (tirerack) am wrong.

I guess the 70 aspect tires are too big. The tires that were on there were 185/70/14 size and there was no rubbing with them. The rubbing only happens when I turn so would stiffer struts help eliminate the rubbing?

Well no, not if they rub on the fenderwells. Correcting this with stiffer struts is fixing a problem with another problem.
