Hey guys.. I'm just wondering where's the best spot on the firewall to put a power wire through.. I'm trying to get my amp and subs going.. but I'm still not sure where I should go through. I know this should be in the audio section, but it's only related to AE92's.. Ahmed, SBC, anyone know??
The rubber piece on the firewall on the driver side.. It was big enough to fit my factory wires, alarm and a 2Gauge power wire..
You'll see it from the egine bay, it's a black circular rubber piece. You can also see it from the inside of the car if you lay down and look upwards over the pedals..
Just pop it out from the inside and open a hole in and then run the cable through it...

4 Guage is enough for you battery wire.. When you relocate, try to use a good ground and make sure it's 4 gauge as well..
I used a circuit breaker near the battery, i think it's safer that way and it's better than a fuse box because you'll have to change the fuse if anything happens!
I know the GTS and SR5 are different in certain things, but they do have the exact same body panels and frame Minesh!

I hope for your sake that the circuit breaker works. I know of one case where it didnt, the car burnt down. Ok so you'd have to change the fuse, but I'd rather have that than let my car burn down.

yes yes but that hole you talk about, well in the gts we have something running through there and thats why i suggested the one on the passenger side
or you could run the wire from outsidethe inner fender and through the rubber thingy on the pillar by the fuse panel on the driverside... it's a tight squeeze but she'll go

Running the power wire on the between the fender and the frame is very dangerous, any fender bender could cause your whole car to short out! Try to run away from the outside of the car!
The idea of the circuit breaker is very logical, you have to measure the amperage of the current running through your car! Obviously if you have a 100A Circuit breaker and you have 60A running through your car, any surge will still go through the circuit breaker. I have had the circuit breaker cut of for a reason or two, but that was good protection, and I'd rather it cut off on small surges or problem than let everything through...
