Looked at a 01 CE

last Friday I looked at a blue 01 Corolla CE at a used car dealer. Here's the lowdown:

- 2T1BR12E91C827757 (Can someone run this VIN for me?)
- Printed $5650 on ad, actual price is $6950 - a classic "misprint"
- 160000 km
- blue body, tan interior
- 5 speed of course
- Have power doors and windows, no power mirror
- Have AC
- have cruise control, no ABS (See my Q below)
- Have Toyota RS3000 alarm
- Maintenance record between 32000 to 151000 km unknown
- Donut spare, jack is there, jack crank is missing
- Visible chip on front windshield
- The seat belt reminder works off of buckle now - exactly the way I like it
- $290 admin fee
- Small paint chip between rear door and rear wheel on the underside edge, driver side
- dull paint on trunk lid
- trunk interior seems a little too finished compared to my Little Pig
- no trace of accidents that I can see, dealer guy says acquired car through auction
- I asked them to run a Carfax on it
- One license plate light is out
- I think I heard some valvetrain clatter, but not 100% sure
- Guy does say car uses timing chain (totally expected )

My budget is under $8000 out the door. Opinions?

I am going to arrange for a mechanic inspection in the next couple days.

And by the way, is it possible to slip the ignition key cylinder light from a LE over the key cylinder of CE that doesn't come with it?

And how does Ontario rules treat ABS retrofit?

For those who know, buy this or proceed with my swap?
