Transmission swap

Hey all,

I just recently bought a 91 corolla (model AE92L DEHDKK) and was woundering if anyone has any info they could share on changing it to a 5 speed manual. Anything like a help resources, anyone with experiance doing this, or any tips you might think are relevant, etc.

im in the process of doing this on my ae82 (basically teh same car), i cant speak on swapping the actual trannys, but its pretty easy to do things like swapping out the shift levers, pedals, master cylinder, yadda yadda. i got all my parts off an ae92 at the wreckers, cost me about 60$ CAD. the 5 spd shift lever bolts right in place of the automatic one. i found the automatic to have a smaller hole in the fire wall for the shift cables (the auto uses one cable, the manual uses two), but they do fit through. the clutch pedal bolts in fine under the dash, but you'll have to drill through the firewall to connect it to and mount the clutch master cylinder. make sure you get the brake pedal from the donor car as well, otherwise the larger brake pedal from the automatic will interfere with the clutch pedal.
