hi people.i wanna ask something.i found piston n piston rod for 4age 20v but the problem is i got a blue top(16v) 4age.could i use the pistons or the piston rods.is there any difference between 16v's n 20v's piston n pistons rods??would it make me gain some more HPs??
20v pistons into a 16v is a good idea. nice high compression. (Head volume of a 20v is very similar to a 16v)
Problem is the gudgeon pin is smaller on the bluetop (18mm vs 20mm), can't run different rods on a bluetop crank either as the bearings are smaller also.
You can machine out the blutop rods to accept the 20mm gudgeon pin, but that's quite a bit of effort.
And also why is everyone so hung up on making the engine non-interference?
(to the point where you would machine a piston)
I've never seen a cambelt break before it was due for replacement.

16v pistons wont work in a 20v. Also, you wont make power with rods. Blacktop rods are lighter I think.
point is i dont have any piston rods and i cant find out any 16v rods in here (Turkiye/Istanbul)
where can i find them??can u help me with that??a link or something else?? thanks
Theres nothing wrong with interference engines, infact theres alot of them in normal factory cars, opels, fords, volvos for example are interference and some have timing belts.
Yeah, but does anybody know how he can get the parts that he needs. He is in Istanbul, Turkey.
Melo. Try < http://www.toyz-unlimited.com/ > I don't know if they export, but they might be able to help you find your parts.
Good luck.
