Gas Gauge

Hi Everyone'
This is the first Toyota that my wife and I have own.
We have a new 07 Corolla.
The Corolla's gas gauge moves pass the Full mark on the Gauge,
when I fill the tank.
I have tried different gas stations, and the same thing happens,
gauge moves pass full.
The gauge moves about a 1/8 of a inch pass the full mark.
Thinking about going back to the dealer with the car.
Has this happen to anyone?

No need to worry as this is a normal occurrence on Corollas.

I have two Corollas, identical make, model, year, even color. The gas gauges are unique in each car in terms of what they display vs. actual fuel usage, and they both display over full when filled. In fact in one car I can drive 70 miles before the needle actually drops to the "full" mark.

Fuel gauges arent an accurate measurement of fuel quantity anyways. They tell you when to start looking for a gas station, which they do nicely.

As above they are accuratly calibrated, small differences in resistace of the components give each one its own "character"

For example when mine reads E, I know I have about 12L left.

the gauge on my AE82 is goofy. when I fill up, the needle reads E and as i use up the tank the needle will rise to the halfway point, and then descends back down to the E as I run through the second half of the tank
