JDM Engine Shops in the GTA

Where are there good shops in the GTA to buy a 4AGE 20V? I looked in the yellow pages and found about 6 or 7 places. And called all of them, and visited some. Only Luckey Star had a Black Top 20V and it looked like it had been droped! The block was chiped / chraked and the oil pan was smashed, and there was oil/coolent all over one side of it!!!

So now I ask you guys to help me out, where can I get a 20V in the GTA, or area?

Names of shops, adresses, phone numbers, websites, would all be very helpful!

Thank you

-Kyle

Kyle I replied to your post on the MR2 owners club as well, I forgot to mention try www.toyodori.com Its a Quebec toyota site in french but everyone speaks english - Montreal is the motherload for engine shops, get a referal from one of those guys so you find a reputable place.

Good Luck

read the "20V Writeups" thread started by BoroEF, it's pretty helpful to get info on the 20v, there was also a long discussion about the 20v a little while ago, read that too

Atta boy For the money and headaches of a 20v you can build a much better 16v

That thread swayed me back to 16v's with cams, headwork and upped compression

If your engine is in need of a rebuild a 20v silvertop is the best bang for the buck compared to a rebuild and parts that will still give you less power..Blacktop is nice but for the cash get a silvertop and save your cash for a standalone ..

unless you have a sunbelt car, your frame most likely would be in need of a rebuild LONG before the engine itself needs rebuilding.

My engine has 300 000km driving and who knows how many idling its tired and cant build oil pressure compression is low and the main bearings are dust.My only option would have been to waste my time and money on a old engine 600$ parts easy .If i would count the hours lost on the engine rebuild and the fact that does not even include a performance mod that is sad for the power. For 1000$ I get a new 160hp engine with 100 000km on it and the thing looks sharp and revs faster then any stock bluetop..

with a silvertop u will be needing an sr5 rad and custom downpipe since the ae101 downpipe will not route back into our cats....

but if ur tranny is going, ur in need of a clutch and ur engine is not all that healthy, what derek can get is a superb deal.

what jzxxxxxxx said is right....no sense rebuilding when that costs u time, money and parts...when a newer engine is available for less cost
