So why am I posting this here?

I rode my bike to my local repair shop because my lock bolt for my altinator snapped on my way home from the parts shop. While at theparts shop I was BSing with one of the mechanics. He said he has a car that he just wants to pull the tranny from for his car, and I could have anything I want out of it.

It is the same everything except for his car has the 1.8l motor, or so he says. So my question is should I snag a free 7AFE, and put it in my car? Of course I would tear it down replace all the seals and berrings. It would probibly take a little whole considering my lack of time to work on things, but this core would be free?

You need the car as transport and don’t have the time. Who knows what condition the motor is in. Might just grab any items you can use as spare parts for your car.
