AE92 Clutch & Flywheel..

Just wondering if a AE86 4AGE Clutch/Flywheel will fit in a AE92 4AGE? Im in need of a new clutch so thought I replace the flywheel while im at it. What kind of clutch/flywheel combos are you guys using on your AE92's? Thanks in advance..

Oh one more thing.. do you know any other cars that are interchangeable with the AE92.. thanks

Why not just get an AE92 flywheel. I'm not 100% sure if they're the same.

I was looking into the same thing and came up with two different sizes. Measure the one in your car when you take it out to make sure you get the right one. As far as brands I'm hearing a lot of good things about Illegal Garage.

The ae86 will use the smaller setup (200mm IIRC). Same as ae82 4age's

I'm not sure what size an ae92 4age would run.

ok i found out that the 85-87 4AGE GTS RWD and the 88-89 4AGE GTS FWD do share the same flywheel's.. according to Fidanza the part #'s are the same.. so im guessing they would share the same clutch as well? you guys think..

Don't have experience with Illegal Garage but researching and asking on Zilvia and Club4ag kept leading me back to them. I emailed them a while back and got a quote for $500 for a clutch and light flywheel kit which seemed reasonable to me.

I am running a silvertop 20v flywheel, I think its like 212mm surface area. It is lighter than stock and has more grabbing surface. Before I had a ae86 flywheel in mine that took some modification to make it work as the pressure plate for it was too big for the c52 tranny. but I hear that a guy could run a smaller preesure plate and clutch to avoid doing what I did.

I also have heard nothing but excellent reviews about the illegal garage clutch setup, but decided not to go with it because it will not get as many miles as a oem type clutch and could possibly hurt my old ass tranny with its "hard grab".

Goto club4ag.com in the classified section under parts for sale, I recently saw a add for the illegal garage clutch blowout sale, The guy calls himself MAX MISAWA, he also sells a butload of other 4age/ae86 stuff so is very reputable.
