Hi, I don't post much. But this is worth telling everyone!
I have a 2002 Corolla. 103,000KM on it.
(I drive ALOT) This past Sunday, I got on the 400 and stayed on for about 5 minutes. as I got into 5th gear I heard this strange noise from my tranny?!?! Went to get off the highway, tried to get 4th . . no go. . 3rd same deal!! I feel this horrible sinking feeling. Bring it up to my shop, pull the tranny, thought it was the release bearing? Seized up?!? Who knows. So Pull the clutch, fine. Bearing, Fine. Drain the fluid, fine? On a whim call the dealer. cars over warranty, but hey you never know? SO, they tell me! Bring it Down! I load all the parts up on a flat bed. Tow it down. Dealer asks me some questions. . .Warranty!!! No problem!
I own a performance shop, had a few mods on the cars, pulled it myself, Heard everyone elses horror stories, expected so hassle! But no. I just wanted to tell everyone. the tranny on this car was completely destroyed! I don't drive it hard, enthusiasticlly yes. But not like I hate it. Jackson Toyota in Barrie. Best experience I've had! I have yet to get it back. But so far so good!
