I thought the sr5 diff and the gts diff's were the same, thought the difference on the rear ends were the brakes..
Some people use supra rear ends.
The beauty of rwd cars is you can pull one off alot of different cars, as long as they aren't to large such as an old 70's car's massive rear end on a corolla lol
Thanks man, I had heard that the SR-5 couldn't hold but about a hundred horses. I want a Black Top in it, but right now it looks like the distributor and themostat housin are gonna be right in the way. I looked at the engine swap guide but it wasnt any help. I am just hopin i don't have to cut up the firewall in the car.

Yeah, we have the GTS, but they aren't easy to come across. I was lucky to find my SR-5. I couldn't beleive i found it less than 10 miles a way with no rust. But the 4A-C has got to go. I would love 13B in it, but i have no experience on rotarys and i don't know anybody around here to work on it.

The GT-S and SR-5 are different. The SR-5 has a 4.3" ring while the GT-S has the 4.7' ring. The SR-5 has no LSD while the GT-S has both open diff as well the LSD.
i'd go with that suggestion of just swapping in a supra rear end...it's why I had done with my old AE86 before I sold it. It was gt-s but high mileage and the diff broke. worked awesome with the supra rear end though

the 20Vs don't have a lot of torque, i'd say use the SR5 diff for now. you don't have a choice when it comes to the dizzy and waterlines. you have to pound/cut the firewall or buy the super bling dizzy relocator and waterline kit.

i'm pretty sure that the GT-S has a 4.3 ratio.

Yes the ratio is 4.3 to 1. Sorry I got mixed up but what I meant was the ring gear size is 6.7" for the GT-S rearend aka 10 bolt rearend. The SR-5 ring gear size is 6.3".

gotcha.
the supra rear end is good option is just hard to find an LSD for it. lolz
