2001 corolla speeds

Does anybody know the 0-60 and 1/4 mile time of a 2001 corolla. 1.8L 1zzfe

Im also looking for the times of the 4 cly. 2001 camry, and the most recent prius.

0-60 = slow

JK JK! I think it was about 9-10seconds or so.. they're not race cars or anything.

I believe the Corolla will launch away from the Camry, but when they get up to about 40mph the Camry will pull away. This is just my seat of the pants assessment - no data to substanciate this opinion.

Considering my experience is with 88 -92 Corollas and Camrys, take it with a grain of salt.

The corolla's quicker than the 4 cyl camry, in 0-60, quarter mile AND gas efficiency :p You're also quicker than the prius.

If it's a manual, you can get the 01 corolla to do sub 9 in the 0-60. Auto's a bit tougher.

if your dad's camry is auto, it will be faster. It has pretty strong engine in difference with the 1zz that is lighter and rev quicker, but doesnt have the muscles of a 2.2l engine. Because both cars are auto, they will accelerate slowly, but at the end, the camry has a better top speed. If your dad's camry is std... well... you know wich one is faster.

Both the camry and corolla are auto's.

The corolla is a 4 speed, Im pretty sure the camry is to.

I know the camry tops off at 95 mph with the limiter. Not sure about the corolla.

I drove a friends prius the other night and it seemed quicker that my corolla from a stop, but I think that eventually, the corolla would pull away.

What is the top speed for a 2001 corolla?

Mmmm... I don't know. Never tried. And even if a try... it will be useless because my speedo is death, lol. Look in www.autochannel.com and select "new car reviews". I'm sure that the top speed is posted there.

You should reach a speed of about 112-115mph before hitting the governor.

As far as disabling it goes, that's really beyond me.

^^qft^^

maybe if I was a few hundred punds, I would under stand.

And I meant the camry was limited to 95, not the corolla.

What would cause these different limits?

Would it be the ECU? if so, wouldn't they all come from the factory with the same programming?
