Auto Lock Door Lock

I do not have my owner's manual for my 2005 Corolla. I would LOVE if someone could tell me how to turn off the auto door lock function. The other threads just advise looking in the manual. I can order one but it won't be here for at least a week. And this is something I need to fix because I'm in and out of my car a lot and hate having to keep walking around to unlock the doors. Thanks to anyone who can help.

IIRC, the feature is disabled via the ECU. The dealer should be able to do it for you for free.

I vote the better solution is a remote keyless entry :p

if that is the case i have a 2003 keyless remote that you can have and all you have to do is program it to your car. Im asking 10 bucks for it plus whatever it is for shipping to you if your interested.

Would an '03 remote work with an '05? I work for a distributor of keyless entry & remote start systems so I could get one pretty cheap. It's the labor that can cost an arm & a leg.

When i have seen them selling on ebay they list them as 03-06 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3427287&rd=1,1

As far as the labor a local dealer should be able to program the remote for you. You car might have the system. So all you need wouold be the remote and you shouild not have a problem after that.
