Question Adding Intermittant wipers to a base Corolla

My 93 Corolla DX died, 317,529 miles. Sounds like it dropped a valve, runs on 3 cylinders. Burned a lot of oil, needed a starter, cracked exhaust manifold, it was time.

Anyways, the dead one has intermittant wipers-tilt-cruise. A friend has a 94 Corolla base model, and I would like to try to retrofit the wipers and tilt (mainly the int. wipers) to it. The cruise would be a bit more than I feel like doing. I already put the clock into it, which was plug and play, the wiring was all in there.

Is this feasable, or would it be too much work, pulling the steering wheel, etc.?

I've wondered the same thing about my 2000 corolla.

I never could figure out why intermitant wasn't put on the base model...could that extra switch seriously cost anything? Or was it just some 'coercion' to get people to buy the higher models...
